The New Year...

well, its been 5 months and a day since my last post... and a lot has changed and not since then. The temptation to write about the 'same old same old' is there as that seems to be the norm of what I'm surrounded by (outside and in my lil' brain). But... how 'bout I fight that urge to get into the monotony of the "same old same old" mentality (which I find more of here than in Spain) with some mildly interesting stuff. The good thing is that I feel I can write more openly as I'm sure no one has checked this blog in ages. Which also begs the question as to why should I write something publicly when I can maintain a private diary or something. I think a part of it is that maybe someone doesn't need to go thru the same crap if I can post something helpful (or that they feel like they aren't the only ones who've felt that way) and I wanted to learn how to use this technology more appropriately. There's been a whole buncha stuff added to this site that you can do since I first started here. I'm also weary as my last blog site went down in flames! (i.e. I didn't check the site for months after my travels finished and when I went to check it, everything was taken off and they asked for US$200 just for giving me the text of my blog). This is where it was And by the time I got around to contacting them for it... it had already been deleted! :(
The funny thing is that I don't miss it as much as I thought. It was the rollercoaster ride I had when I went traveling for a year and accounts of many funky things that happened along the way. I still have some of the more private ones in my ol' pen 'n paper diary so I guess thats good enough for now.
So, now that I've said absolutely nothing of substance... I think I'll end this for today! :)
Here's to all of us, in all the crap thats happening in the world, trying to be optimistic of the future... HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)
